  • Heart Energy

    "CRONOS" - Lee Mun Chun July 15, 1985 - July 1, 2009
He was my best friend in Malaysia no doubt that few can ever compare to love in his heart for adventure, fun, travel asnd his zest for life.
We met in my Friend's Shop in Kuala Lumpur in JANUARY OF 2004, he assisted me with my Feng Shui purchases. When he introduced himself as the new store clerk he bore a smile that was pure from his heart, sincere in every way. I befriended him and invited him to my humble flat, it was a great honour for him to be invited to a white man's flat. As I got to know him as my friend I mentored him in gemstones and crystals, incenes and tarot cards too, I thought one day he would be a Master and encouraged him in every way. He was ambitious, intelligent and used all of his energies in any task, he was to contribute to my next book on crystals. I will greatly miss his talents and his input. I mourn his loss, as my son, my brother, but most of all I write this to mourn the loss of a great friend, a humble but great human being who died well in advance of his time, who did everything from his heart.
I only received word yesterday from his sister, Kori, who has promised to take me to pay my last respects to him when I return to Kuala Lumpur next week. I am honoured that she would take the time for me and her dearly beloved brother.
I saw the joy on his face the first time he took an airplane, I watched him as we took to the air, it filled my heart with joy that this humble boy (who along with his sister support their parents) was experiencing such happiness at the start of the trip we had planned, an adventure to Chiang Rai in Northern Thailand in 2006. Believe me, it was the adventure of a lifetime.
We went to Mei Sin, and a hilltop Buddhist Temple there where we gazed upon the countries of Laos and Burma, it was beautiful. We took a day trip to Ayudyah, the ancient capital of Thailand which was pure wonder. Climbed the steps at the Temple of the Golden Mount in
Bangkok, and countless others. I swore I might never go on another trip with him as it took my feet 10 days to recover, of course I was just joking, anyhwhere, anytime I would adventure with him, as it was easy to be with him, always happy and everything he did was purely thoughtful and considerate.
We hunted treasure together, and when I needed eyes that were better than mine he provided his, negotiated on my behalf, and translated from Chinese to Bahasa when required.
I will miss my friend dearly, and thought to share the wonder of his smile and his heart with you.
Apparently he drowned while swimming at Redang Island, Terrenganu, Malaysia. I know that was his favourite place on Earth. He once visited his sister there when she worked at a resort. If it is any consolation to me at all is that he gave his life enjoying that which he most enjpoyed, swimming in his very special place.
Rest in Peace my dear friend, I will miss your smile and the memories will live on in the photos and adventures we shared. You always made me happy with that smile that came straight from your heart:)
God Bless You, such a shame you were taken at such an early age.

  • Buddha's Bitrthday - 2 Monks

Today is the birthday of Buddha and is widely celebrated throughout the world, it is also the night of the full moon, May 8,2009.

Two Monks are walking and encounter a young lady in a white dress, she is going to a wedding. The young lady encounters a mass of mud in her path and asks one of the monks if he could carry her across the mud as she does not want to soil her dress.

One of the monk's picks up the young lady and carries her across the mud and sets her down, dress unsoiled.

As the monks are walking back to their temple the other monk says "brother, I think it was wrong for you to carry that young lady over the mud."

The monk replies, "Brother, I stopped carrying that young lady an hour ago, why do you still carry her?"

  • LABELS

I'm not sure if I'll be on track with this, my first post in the group, but one thing I have always found disturbing is the casual and over use of labels to define our friends and acquaintances, sometimes people we don't even know.
I've never liked them, when it comes to clothing for instance I often find that the people develop pretenses and feel ever so important as they've just gotten that brand new "Tommy Hilfiger" shirt and a greatly reduced price, it makes them feel far too self-important for their own good!!!! I've seen people wearing the most hideous technicolour yawn designs, which of course cleared out due to bad taste, and they've been totally changed as they think they've achieved some level of importance in the world by wearing a product which is nothing less than vulgar advertising.
People - How many do you know that refer to others who have different beliefs, religions, or points of view who are labeled and negatively implicated in some conspiratorial plot to overtake the world?
I've always hated labels, I find that they rob us of our individuality, and think that they do more harm than good, are we so intellectually bankrupt that we can no longer think on our own without using them in our daily lives?
To make my point I will relate this following true experience which occurred just prior to my return to Asia last autumn.Of course, you will firstly have to bear with me as I would like to introduce the circumstances and some background.
Malaysia, where I have chosen to reside in the winter is nearby Bangkok, the Gemstone Trading Capital of the World, and I could go there, and often do, but I prefer the quiet and peaceful nature of this country which is Labeled Muslim.
Needless to say, I live amongst a population of predominantly Muslim practitioners. It doesn't bother me, and I don't care as I've found in the course of my lifetime that we must share the space we exist in with many people who believe in things that vastly differ from our own points of view. Tolerance - Do unto others as they would do to you, none of them are rushing out to convert me from the Free Thinking, Pagan, Buddhist that I am, and that suits me just fine!!! Although, many have asked me my religion my response above often confuses them and they walk away, I don't bother to explain when they appear miffed as I think I'm part of a much larger universal reality.
I'm am not, nor do I ever want to be labeled!!!
I was with a few friends one day having a coffee down the street and enjoying the beautiful day and the accompanying small chat that came with it, along came an acquaintance who for no reason whatsoever began to accost me as being a Muslim Sympathizer - his justification was that I lived in a Muslim country, one of my friends in this nearby shopping outlet was Muslim and we were friends, and the fact that I loved Malaysia. I was quite offended by his unwarranted attack on me, and asked my friend for his hand-phone, he asked why, I'm calling the police, this is a HATE-CRIME, the accoster scrambled to his car and drove off furious at me never to be seen again. Thankfully I thought, I do hate losing my temper, but this type of labeling and rampant ignorance really twists my tit:) (sorry it's a very painful young lad's joke) Starting like this, "What's worse than a Hurricane" and then the demonstration with another weather phenomena, the TWISTER, which hurts like hell. Well sorry for the aside.
Fact of the matter is, I am tolerant, I believe well-educated and brought up in a civilized country - mind you not everyone in any country necessarily behaves or acts in a civil manner.
When I was a young pup in high school, I lived in a small town on the St Lawrence Seaway in Ontario, in the mid- 70's. As you can well imagine, small towns in rural settings have small town ideals, conservative thoughts and of course ignorance in abundance - they think one way and one way only so that anything different causes them to react in a very uncomplimentary manner.
One day we had a new student in our class, he was BLACK, he was from New York, and oh lest I forget, he was extremely effeminate. As random chance had it he sat in front of me. Being I think a civilized person I spoke with him and found out all of the above without judgment. But, in the back of my I secretly wondered, "how long will he last here?" He was obviously far too different from the rest of us, and of course, he was after all BLACK!!!! I think only part of his problem. People are cruel, they judge and label others without consideration of their right that are part of this world and have some contribution to make to it. Well, it was a bout a week, and one day the desk in front of me was once again empty. Sadly, I wondered and felt pity for this poor guy, and pray that his life worked out well fro him. He didn't stand a chance in that backwoods environment which was intolerant not only of change, but acceptance of anything which would alter their cozy little "We're White and we're Alright World." This in my opinion was a gross human injustice, he was judged, labeled and condemned all with one breath. Shameful!!!
One of my favourite TV shows, Seinfeld: I have known someone all my life who holds prejudices - a brief list will follow in order of chronological order:
    1) Never marry a Catholic - you'll have to convert and your life will be ruined
"Most of my best friends throughout this lifetime have been Catholics"
    2) You know Seinfeld is a Jew
" He makes me laugh, I won't condemn for his beliefs"
    3) He's not a nice man, "You know he's been divorced"
"He is my neighbour, an outstanding friend who cares for his Mother, Sister and 3 Sons and, perhaps the nail in his coffin, he is Catholic"
    4) "Gay people should not get married, it's against God's will"
"If two people love each other, who cares, they aren't sleeping with me, molesting me, so let them be" How does that hurt you? Why must you hate something because you don't understand it?"
    5) "They should never be able to adopt children" It's just wrong"
"What's wrong with it? Why shouldn't they? How is love different for a child regardless of the sex of the parents? If the child receives a good home, loving parents and care what more could we ask?"

I find these examples not only discriminatory but a sad reflection on humanity which needs to change, can we not just accept all beings as part of this earth and part of our world without categorizing them?

A colloquialism I absolutely detest: "Ignorance is Bliss"
NO it's not, it's ignorance, it limits your life, and blinds you to the beauty of life and all of the differences in people that make us expand and grow our consciousness, improve our tolerance and advance the cause of civilization.

Labels - I find they limit our growth as a civilization, they hurt individual real people who have as much right as we do to exist.

I avoid Labels at all costs - there are good and bad people in this world, it is an undeniable fact. to label someone for their political, religious, lifestyle beliefs or the colour of their skin is a CRIME against humanity, and deserves punishment!!!

These are facts and some of my opinions which merely reflect my tolerance and participation in this world.

I sincerely hope that I have not offended anyone or that this, my first post in this group is in any way out of line.

    Thank you

  • Principle of Cause and Effect

    cone_nebula_crop

Every cause has it's effect, every effect has it's cause, everything happens according to law. There is nothing that merely happens, there is no such thing as chance; bar that which we are unable to measure, percieve or imagine..

There are numerous planes of cause and effect, each can impact on the all.

Imagine the degrees of our mind rising up to the higher planes, they become, "Causers", as opposed to effects.

The masses of people carried along, obedient to their environment, the wills and desires of others apparently stonger, heridity, suggestion, and other causes moving us like pawns on a chessboard.

Be your master, rise to the plane above, let them not dominate, become the causer the mover. Play the game, instead of being played.

Masters obey the causation of the higher planes, and that in turn effects the rule of the mundane plane.

    This week's prayer visualization
As so many in the world feel pushed to crisis mode, from those experiencing the worst fires in Australia’s history, to those experiencing fear about the state of the global economy, many are realizing how deeply we must rely on each other, in our local communities, the virtual community, and the global community. Join us as we envision people everywhere embracing the power of community, of reaching out to others, and extending the best of what we each personally have to offer. The world, while more complex than ever before, is also perhaps more intimate and our ability to touch others can be both more effective and more rewarding.

    Follow-up discussion
How can we follow synchronicity to broaden our circle of friends and community networks?

  • The Principle of Rhythm

    cone_nebula_crop

Everything flows, out and in, everthing has its tides, all things rise and fall, the pendulum-swing manifests in everthing, the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left, rhythem compensates.

This Principle embodies the truth that in everything there is mainfested a measured motion, to and fro, a flow an inflow, a swing backwards and forwards, between the two poles which exist in accordance to the Principle of Polarity, there is always an action and reaction, an advance and a retreat, a rising and a sinking.

This in the affairs of the universe, suns, worlds, mankind, animals, mind, energy and matter. This law is manifest in the creation and destruction of worlds; the rise and fall of nations. In the life of all things and finally in the mental states of humanity, (and it is within humanity that this is of most importance here).

Grasp the principle, find its universal application, and recognise the means to work with its effects.

The one who has mastered this polarizes them selves at the point at which they desire to rest, and then neutralizes the rhythmic swing of the pendulum.

  • The Principle of Polarity

    cone_nebula_crop

    The Principle of Polarity

Everything is dual, everything has poles, everything has pairs of opposites. Like and unlike are the same, opposites are identical in nature however, different in degree, extremes meet, all truths appear as half truths, all paradoxes may be reconciled.

The Art of Polarisation becomes a phase of mental Alchemy. Understanding this principle allows one to change their polarity.

  • The Principle of Vibration

    cone_nebula_crop

Nothing Rests, Everything Moves, Everything Vibrates.

The principle embodies the truth that everything is in motion, everything vibrates and nothing is at rest.
A fact endorsed by modern science and taught by the ancient initiates thousands of years ago.

The principle explains the the differences between different manifestations of matter, energy and mind, results that varying rates of vibration. From the pure energy of source down to the grossest form of matter all is vibration.

The vibration of the highest energy, (note these are also referred to as spirit and soul, spirit is a distinct energy and differs from soul), it is at such intensity that is appears to be still, like a spinning wheel appears to be motionless. At the other end of the scale gross matter which has a low vibration also seems to be at rest. Between these poles, there are millions and millions of degrees of vibration. From corpuscle, electron, atom, molecule, to worlds and universes everything is in vibrationary motion. This is also true on the planes of energy and force and also the mental plane and beyond...

They who grasps the Principle of Vibration has Grasped the Sceptre of Power.

  • The Principle of Correspondence

    cone_nebula_crop

    As Above so Below

This principle embodies the truth that there is always a correspondence between the laws and phenomena ff the various planes of being and life. The Hermetic Axiom is, "As Above So Below", to grasp this principle is to have the means to solve many a paradox and the hidden secrets of nature.

There are fields of energy beyond our common knowing, however when the Principle of Correspondence is applied we begin to understand. This Principle is of Universal Application and Manifestation is works over the numerous fields/planes of energy and is a Universal Law.

  • The Principle of Mentalism

    cone_nebula_crop

“THE ALL is MIND; The Universe is Mental.”–The Kybalion.

This Principle embodies the truth that “All is Mind.” It explains that THE ALL (which is the Substantial Reality underlying all the outward manifestations and appearances which we know under the terms of “The Material Universe”; the “Phenomena of Life”; “Matter”; “Energy”; and in short, all that is apparent to our material senses) is SPIRIT, which in itself is UNKNOWABLE and UNDEFINABLE, but which may be considered and thought of as A UNIVERSAL, INFINITE, LIVING MIND.

    Unknowable unless experienced..
